What About Auburn?
Seventy-five years ago, an essay, "The Community-The Seed Bed of Society" by the social commentator, Arthur Morgan, was published in the Atlantic Monthly. Its basic premise was that small town communities were vital to our American form of democracy. Over the last 50-60 years, small towns all across the nation have been hollowed out. Their mainstreams are largely boarded up and bypassed by the bypasses.
