Unfounding is a performance shot on double 8mm film in an abandoned gravel quarry. It is a meditation on sites and rites of burial, flight, and a landscape wounded by extraction - the same process by which film is manufactured. Accompanied by a field recording taken the day after Leland died, this film repeatedly gestures outside of the frame.
