MANDALA
A city, a book, a love story, and a group of artists in the midst of a search. Mandala is a collage of images inspired by the universe of Hopscotch, by Julio Cortázar. Paris becomes the game board upon which the characters move like disoriented bodies. Coming from “other places,” the protagonists struggle with a lack of belonging, seeking comfort by gathering together. During these encounters, the friends discuss art and literature (in this case, Hopscotch), while sharing their nostalgias and the small vicissitudes of everyday life. Within this daily game of contradictions, as if immersed in the logic of a mandala, the characters gradually drift away from the center — a departure that seems to suspend everything… even love.
