Speculation, art history and diagnostics - in the form of self portrait.

At the beginning of the spring 2020 lockdowns, I discovered a swelling on my thyroid. Then I came across a Baroque painting of a woman who seemed to suffer from the same malady. Thus began a speculative, art-historico-medical documentary; part research project, part self-portrait. Goitre explores the human relationship to art history and the idea that we see what we want to see.
