In the year 2000, twelve-year-old César lives in a shantytown on the outskirts of Buenos Aires. When his brother finds unexpected cash, the family buys a new TV—but they are still missing a key piece of technology: cable. Alongside a friend and with his mother’s help, César hatches a plan to tap into the cable line of their affluent neighbors. Once connected, César and Leo are left mesmerized by a new world and the culture of a social class that the television finally opens up to them.
